Founded in August 2006, by Christophe & Michelle Poteaux(Garbee), Bastille is a contemporary French bistro and wine bar. Chef's Christophe and Michelle Poteaux (former Executive Chef and Pastry Chef of Aquarelle at the Watergate Hotel) are the heart and soul of Bastille. Their menu creations are based on a combination of traditional and modern interpretations of classic bistro fare. Bastille is not "Old school" French food, however, it is considered a typical "french bistro gastro", which translates into a simple and comfortable setting with fine dining food at bistro prices. The use of fresh ingredients combined with bold flavors make rich and exciting creations and that is what makes Bastille the perfect place for a relaxing midweek dinner, romantic night out, impressing your business clients or a great wine dinner with friends.
